C. N. Sreekantan Nair (1928–1976) was a Malayalam writer and playwright. He is probably best known for his ''Ramayana'' trilogy – ''Kanchana Sita'', ''Saketham'' and ''Lankalakshmi'' – based on the epic ''Ramayana''. Poet and scholar Ayyappa Panicker had observed that ''Lankalakshmi'' brought out the playwright in Sreekantan Nair, while ''Saketham'' and ''Kanchana Sita'' highlighted the poet and the philosopher in the playwright. He received the Kendra Sahitya Academy Award in 1962 for ''Kanchana Sita''. It was later adapted into a film with same name by G. Aravindan. His another major work was ''Nashtakkachavadam'' which won the M. P. Paul prize. Sreekantan Nair experimented successfully with stage direction and concepts of theatre.〔http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-features/tp-metroplus/epic-moments/article3188727.ece〕 He has also written some short stories. ==Works== * ''Kanchana Sita'' (1961) *''Lankalakshmi'' (1974) *''Saketham'' *''Nashtakkachavadam'' *''Aa Kani Thinnaruth'' *''Aettile Pashu'' *''Madhuvidhu'' *''Sindoorappottu'' *''Thilakkunna Ponnu'' *''Pichippoo'' *''Puliyilakkara Neryath'' *''In the Shade of Sahyadri'' 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「C.
